Question

Who remembers our family values ? Who knows what the prize is for correctly answering ?

cleaning product of the month

it's not exactly news that I am a cleaning product junkie! If the famine ever comes we might be hungry but our house will be clean! I'm starting a new post and every month I will post my favorite new cleaning product. This month it is Windex Disinfecting Wipes. Comes in a canister like Lysol wipes or Clorox wipes but....You take one each morning, wipe off your bathroom mirror, wipe down light switches and door handles, move on to the sink and vanity, wipe off the toilet top, then the seat, finally drop it on the floor and using your foot, wipe up around the toilet. Throw it away! sanitizes and cleans. (I did try it on other mirrors and wasn't as happy with the result as with regular Windex so would only recommend using it on the bathroom mirror) Doing this every morning makes that once a week deep cleaning a breeze. Year in Photos

A friend of mine sent me this link, and I thought it was amazing. It's a three-part review of 2008 in photos. Some of these shots are so absolutely incredible, I can't believe anyone was there to capture them. Be advised, some of them are graphic and even gruesome, so it's not for kids. But I think it's important to see these photos, even the ones that aren't too savory. There is a lot happening out there in the world, and even though these photos attempt to show that, there's just too much to handle. This made me appreciate even more the wonderful blessing that it is for all of us to live in such a blessed land where we are both free and safe.

I apologize now...

I want to go ahead and apologize now if parts, or all, of this post do not make much sense. I'm a bit sleepy since Juliana is cutting her first tooth and it seems her tolerance for pain is as low as her mothers. She'll sleep through the night when she is feeling okay, but lately she's been up two or three times. Jackson is ready to be potty trained since now being in a diaper with even an ounce of liquid bothers him so much he wakes up at night until I go and change his diaper. It might be easier to teach him how to do it himself. Joe is still not terribly thrilled with having to share a room with his baby brother so a couple times a night he sneaks into my bed and I carry him back out. It's not as bad as it sounds though, I promise. When Juliana wakes up she's always got a big smile on her face, and when Jackson wakes up I get a chance to hold and cuddle him which I would never be able to do otherwise and when Joe crawls in my bed he always says, "I love you Mommy." and kisses my nose. They will only be my little babies for a short while, and I've started trying to enjoy them every chance I get whether it be 3pm or 3am. Plus, I still have a bit of my custom colored foundation I got as a gift to help hide the bags under my eyes.
Above is a pic of Jackson at the park last week. It was 77 on Friday, and he's been super clingy lately (and isn't sure if I'm Mommy or Daddy since he calls me both) so we spent some time together at the park. He really is a handful. We were on the way back and I let him roll his window down. At the busiest intersection at a stop light, a woman jumped out of her car behind me (I was a little nervous at first that she was gonna ask for my phone number...hey, she had a mullet and drove a pick up. don't judge me) and she said "Your kid just threw his shoes out the window!" and then she gave me his shoes. and his window privledges were revoked. As are his kitchen and bathroom privledges. Every once in a while he manages a security breach (or breech?) but luckily Mike came over last week and got most of the toothpaste tube tops and toilet paper out of the sink so it will drain now. And his girls watched my kids so I could go to wal mart to replace the bottle of dishwashing soap and box of dishwashing powder he dumped out on the counter. I think he was making a passive aggressive statement on my declining housekeeping skills. I wouldn't put it past the cute little bugger.

winter returns

we have had several days of sun and then rain and thought perhaps winter was over but.....this is what it looks like here this morning.

We had a fun party last night. A birthday party for James Ririe, my great grandfather. Complete with a birthday cake, I might add. It was fun to learn a little bit more about him. Such as: He joined the church and was ready to come to Utah. He was engaged to a woman named Helen Mitchell. He asked his sister to loan him money to bring her with him but the sister said she wouldn't help until James was settled and had some security. He came to Utah, worked for two years and then sent money to his sister for Helen to come to Utah. Helen came as far as St. Louis, then married someone else! OOH, harsh, huh? But the kicker came when my cousin told me that she had heard that eventually James had Helen Mitchell sealed to him. Now that's forgiveness. Incidentally, James did marry. He and Ann Boyack met and were married within a week. They had a large family (9 living children, among them my grandfather, David Ririe) and lived most of their lives in Eden. He is listed among Utah's Pioneers and Prominent Men.

Amateurs

I have noticed the recent anti-Bubba sentiments floating around on this blog.  I, of course, am far too mature and charitable to return the kind of libel that has been thrown my way.  I will however, point out a flaw in what's been going on.  I am, after all, the favorite, therefore, I am totally qualified to give advice on how to make your siblings look bad in order to gain favor with the padres.
Here is the most critical flaw:  You've ganged up.  Because both Sarah and Catherinanonymous decided to post such filth so closely together, I now have the benefit of pity.  Dad (we won't even talk about Mom, because she's pretty much beyond anyone's grasp) will see that his two daughters are speaking such horrible things about his youngest son, and feel sorry.  He will realize that the girls are jealous, and that their motives are born out of hatred and bitterness.  Therefore, rather than listening to what they say, he will simply shake his head in sorrow at his modern-day Laman and Lemuel and continue to heap praise, honor, and glory on his beloved Bubba.  Err, Nephi.  Well, Sam I guess.
At any rate, the point I'm trying to make is that this sibling rivalry is going nowhere.  Who cares who the favorite is anyway?  Of course, that's easy for me to say, being the favorite.  But seriously, if you want to debate this kind of thing, take it elsewhere.  Let's keep the blog open so we can enjoy our family bond.

Love,

Bubba

(See that?  See what I did right there?  Now Dad will think, "Man, Bubba sure is mature, and he sure does care about our family.  Cathy and Sarah just want a bigger share of our will.  No wonder Bubba is the favorite.  In fact, I should go put a bunch of money in his bank account."  Take notes, amateurs.)

Good try, Cathy...oh...I mean Anonymous

In response to "His TRUE colors"....Unfortunately, this kind of evidence Mom only laughs at. She finds the humor in his sick, disgusting words. She finds the clever way in which he words things poetic. It's horrible, really. Here's the true evidence, Mom: One day Bubba was over here saying, and I quote, *"Mom is such a sucker. I'm only acting nice to her in the hopes I will get her ring for my future wife. I only treat her nice so that I might be able to get things out of her. All things out of her, that is. I really can't stand her. She drives me nuts! Telling me what I should and shouldn't do."And then continued to say things I can't even type, they're so horrible! I couldn't believe it! Don't worry Mom, I immediately came to your defense talking about how you are the best Mom anyone could ask for. How you have beautiful hair, and are so gorgeous! I raved about your cooking and how well you drive. I couldn't stop talking about all the wonderful characteristics you have, such as your sense of humor, your vast knowledge of the gospel, the incredible teacher you are, how you can make anyone feel comfortable, how you are the WORLD'S best Grandma, etc... He just laughed in my face and said that it didn't matter what I thought because all of his fake butt-kissing would always overshadow my true, sincere feelings. Bubba, you make me sick.
Love- Sarah

*words and situations might have been changed for the benefit of the writer.

his TRUE colors...sorry mom...

in a message sent from Bubba on 1-20-09 at 1:21pm:
You're lucky my phone doesn't have a camera, because if it did I would probably send you pics of all my nasty dumps. I wish i were more mature than that but i ain't.

in a message sent from Bubba on 1-21-09 at 11:26am:
Also, you're lucky i don't have a video camera because then i would record my massive farts and send them to you

So, yesterday, that's right, January 21..the day AFTER inauguration day we rec'd a notice in the mail that started, "The United States Federal Government has established a program to assist the special needs of senior homeowners by reducing the effects of economic hardship caused by increasing costs associated with energy/fuel, health, and housing needs." Further on it explained the program could help with mortgage payments, provide monthly income, and stop foreclosure if needed. I was cracking up because Steven and I have joked a thousand times about how so many people think that the day after Obama takes office money will just magically appear in your mailbox.
I knew I had to immediately tell Steven that our dreams had come true so I called and left him the following message, "Steven, this is your mom. Our worries are over, Obama came through for us. call me." Within ten minutes the phone rang and it was Steven who said, "Don't worry mom, the police are on the way. I knew your message had to be code for some kind of trouble so I called the police dep't and they are sending someone right over."
After we laughed and I read him the card his comment was, that is a brilliant piece of direct mail marketing. timing it to arrive the day after the inauguration! These people are genius!
So, I want you all to know that things are just fine here, thank you very much. Obama's the man, er I mean Messiah. mom

Talk of Reparations Continues

Democrat John Conyers of Michagan is sponsoring Bill # H.R. 40, introduced 1/6/2009. This is Congressional Legislation 'To acknowledge the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and to establish a commission to examine the institution of slavery, subsequently de jure and de facto racial and economic discrimination against African-Americans, and the impact of these forces on living African-Americans, to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate remedies, and for other purposes. '

So far, four co-sponsors (all Democrats) have added their names to the bill. If you would like to know more, and perhaps contact your representatives in Washington to let them know your feelings on this legislation (either for or against), a way to contact them is through the congress.org website.

here's a movie suggestion. Ghost Town. I have a history of choosing the WORST movies, so much so that your Dad wouldn't even allow me in the video store for some time. But I chose this one so we'd have something to watch tonight instead of Washington D.C. It's kind of sappy at the end but I'd never seen anything with Ricky Gervais before and it was really funny. A couple of scenes with questionable language but really good overall. Your Dad is even considering letting me go to the video place again. Love, mom

Carls Jr!

Last night was the first time the twins have been to a play area at a fast food restaurant! We had so much fun! And I was so good....I didn't even order anything because it was not on my diet! Anyways....Tanner loved it. We had to trap him in the seat so he would eat. Mason loved it, too. It was a new adventure, after all! Mallory, though...she was not quite sure. She did good climbing the stairs, but once she could see the ground through the slits, it was over. She was death grip holding our hands. Overall it was a really great night!
_______________________________
Here's Mason...hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come...
This was the best picture I could get of Tanner because he was so excited to run around!
Here's Mason loving it!
Here's Mallory holding on to Matthew's hand and my hand with all her might. Poor girl!
Tanner's face....ugh....can you tell how annoyed he was that he had to get a picture taken with Mom!!
Love to all! Sarah
PS. If you haven't checked out Paul's website, you need to! He has awesome pics of his darling daughter on there!

YOUR NAME!

When you post something, please put your name so I can know who wrote it. Everyone else may know who is typing the post, but I have no clue! So please fill me in!

This is a note written by Grandma Jackson June 22, 1966, to Aunt Janet who was traveling through Europe at the time. It says:

Dear Aunt Janet,

Just a note from Salt Lake City, Utah, this AM to let you know I arrived Mon evening the 20th of June.

I am very small and will be at home in the incubator for a while. They have kept me very comfortable and warm in my new glass home. I am doing fine and I'm fairly light (hair that is). My fingers are slender and my feet & toes are so tiny and cute.

Last night quite a few people were gazing at me, one lovely young woman with blondish hair and blue eyes, I guess that was my Mom, and beside her with his arm adoringly around her a handsome strong young man, who is my father. They are such wonderful people, I'm glad they are mine.

There was someone else there too, a wonderful older man who looked quite concerned about me, and he looked sort of "numb". I'm sure he's my grand dad! The other person was a lady who still can't realize she's a grandmom, but loves every minute of it!

Have a wonderful trip and I'm looking forward to seeing you when you are home.

Lovingly,
I think my name will be Paul Michael Jackson

And It Came To Pass...

Strangest Conversation

I just overheard the strangest conversation at the grocery store. A couple of older gentlemen were standing in the aisle discussing the merits of a certain notoriously tough-shelled Hawaiian nut. Point, counterpoint, back and forth they went, are these nuts better with milk chocolate or white? It was quite a display of rhetoric from these men, holding pipes and wearing herringbone jackets with leather patches on the elbows. I can only assume they were members of macademia.

How did I know Paul would come through??

Well, you definitely came through on the neighbor situation. You are so hilarious! I've forwarded your "drawing" of the tp launcher to Uncle Max so he can back it. I don't forsee a problem.

I think what I've resorted to do is the liquid ass. I wasn't sure, but when I saw a picture on their website of a "victim" with a backhoe in their yard digging into their sewer lines, I knew it was just the answer I'd been searching for.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms3UanigLzY&eurl=http://www.liquidass.com/

Idea for Sarah

Have you thought about making your neighbors think their house is haunted? It starts with rigging the physical manifestations...speakers in the house to send out barely-audible moans, a bypass for their cable system so you can display static-y ghostly images on their TV, hydraulic jumpers under their bed to toss them out of a sound sleep, and blood pumps hooked up to pinhole plates in the walls to make them appear to "bleed."

Follow it all up with supporting evidence. I'd start with creating a web site listing haunted house in the Salt Lake valley (the domain www.hauntedhappyvalley.com is available), making their house show up in the top 5 "most haunted places" in Utah. It may be fun to call the Utah Ghost Organization http://www.utahghost.org/ and ask them to come investigate because you're getting weird vibes from your neighbor's home...

Paul

Sarah's Dilemma

Toilet papering a house is also a good way to get across the "we wish you would move" point. The mistake most amateurs make is to insufficiently cover the house, using only a few rolls. Unfortunately, there is a mathematical progression that indicates that the chances of being caught increase in relation to the time needed to toss each additional roll.

This was a challenge I considered at length when one of the families in my last Ward decided to start sitting in the row I had sat in for nearly ten years. How could I deliver a shock-and-awe barrage of toilet paper quickly, increasing the number of rolls delivered while keeping time (and associated risk of being caught) down?

Granted, there are times when it is OK and even desirable to let the object of your frustration know exactly who dumped 184 rolls of two-ply in the upper branches of their trees 10 minutes before a rain storm, but other times it is best to take advantage of stealth.

To that end, I designed a gimble-mounted TP delivery system to mount in my mini-van. Operating off compressed air and delivering up to 20 rounds of TP simultaneously, the idea was to roll up to the offender's home with the side door open, fire, and drive off whilst laughing maniacally.

I say 20 "rounds" rather than 20 "rolls" intentionally. One of the major design considerations was how to fire the TP in such a way that it would stream rather than just stay intact and fly over the house as a un-furled roll. The solution, I believe, is to fan-fold rolls of TP into a round box that matches the diameter of the delivery barrel. This not only solves the problem of deployment, it also creates a "sabot" that increases the overall efficiency of the mechanism.

Here's a rough diagram of what I have in mind:

Just a thought. - Paul

Answer to Sarah's Plea

Some of you may have read Sarah's request for diabolical schemes as to how she can get rid of her neighbors.  I noticed that nobody seemed to answer, so I thought I'd be the first to throw out some ideas.  Some are better than others.  In fact, some of these ideas are meant to force them to move out of their own volition, rather than finding legal means to force them out.

1.  Put a boat in their yard.
2.  Put an unused car (or two, or three) in their yard, backyard, garage, and/or driveway.
3.  Fill their entire garage full of crap they will never use, partially because it's broken, and partially because they can't find a damn thing in there anyway.
4.  Put a ridiculous amount of decorations on their lawn, awnings, porch, landscaping, and roof for every holiday you can imagine.
5.  Somehow get Mason to wander about their home, thus quickly destroying the structural integrity thereof, and giving the city inspector ample reason to evict the deadbeats.  *Caution:  When the city inspector comes around, make sure the "green monster" hiding the Toyota is well painted and maintained.
6.  Play Rock Band till ungodly hours of the night with the volume so loud that no one in the county will be able to sleep.
7.  Put a "No on Prop Eight" sign on their lawn.  (Were you in California, the opposite sign would get the undesireds out of the neighborhood within minutes)

These are just a few ideas.  Like I said, some are better than others.  I'll post others, from time to time.

Bubba

Whoa, mellow out! Fire up the beta...

Geez people, calm down. I don't have anything to say anyway. My house does not have internet yet, so that's why I haven't been able to post anything yet. When I do get the interwebs in my house, I'll post all the time with pictures and everything. Matter of fact, I'm missing out on important information in my stats class right now in order to write this. Here's some news:
1. I'm sick. I have a cold, but only in one nostril.
2. I'm thinking about dating a girl. She's wonderful. And she's real, which is a plus.
3. These are my classes: Statistics, Law, Accounting, Management, and some computer applications class.
4. I moved into a new house, and it's really nice. We have a big screen and rock band. It's cool.
5. I used the new clippers I got for Christmas to shave my back the other night. My roommate walked in the bathroom and asked, "When did we get carpet in the bathroom?" I wish I were kidding.

So yeah, that's what's up with me. Stats is now over, so I'm off. Keep it real.

Bubba
you might want to check out the Barrett-Jackson car auction on the speed channel. Steven was on Tuesday night and again for just a second thursday night. tonight (friday) he will be a seller and again tomorrow night. It re-runs all the time, it's the one in scottsdale. Apparently last night Catherine sent him a text asking where he was and when he told her she didn't believe him so he just wandered up on stage and walked in front of the camera. It's on about car #721, a chevrolet with a wrap around back window. tuesday night he was bidding on a car but stopped at $35,000 and was out bid. Mike, wish you'd gone with him. It looks like fun!

We Enjoyed Bubba's Christmas Letter!

Bubba, I wanted to say how much we enjoyed your Christmas letter. It was great to hear more about what you're doing and get to know you a bit better. I was especially impressed with your humor and your writing...you've got a great talent there and I hope you work to develop it. I'd love to read more of your work. If only there was a forum of some kind.

I think my favorite sentence in the letter was "I 've been thinking that we should start a family blog ... it would be nice to have a blog that we could all contribute to, since we're so spread out." Wise words and a great idea. A blog we could ALL contribute to. Hmmmmm.

I uploaded this WITHOUT YOUR DAD HELPING ME just to see if I could do it. (mason is bathing in our deep bathroom sink) mom

this photo is in our church parking lot a block from our house. I told Joe that the snow was deeper than he was tall and he didn't believe me but apparently it is deeper than I am tall. Grandma J

our life!

Life with twins is one adventure after another! They are so fun and so cute, but absolutely all over the place! But moments like what happened below is what I live for:

Our lives have been crazy and hectic lately but really good and EXTREMELY blessed! Matthew turned 34 on Monday, and we had a great time driving up to his office and bringing cake and ice cream! The babies loved the adventure. Especially because of their Dad's cool spinny chair!

Tanner's new thing right now is that he can't wait to be 4 because that's when I said he'd be old enough to play the Wall E game on the Wii. Wall-e is so dumb. If you haven't seen it....don't. DON'T! And also don't see "The tale of Desperaux." Mom took Tanner to see it the other day and apparently it was LAME!

I am really excited and really busy because I have signed up for my first triathlon! It's May 18th, and the training started last week. It's been so good and such a good motivator. There are so many times where I want to stop running on the machine, or stop lifting the weights because it's too heavy, and I'll think "When I get to the race, there will be a time when I want to stop. I just have to push through it!" It's really helped me. I'm really pumped about the tri, although, I know all of you can't understand what would possess me to do such a thing. In case you are interested in more info, go to triutah.com. It's the Woman of Steel race in American Fork. It's 300 m in the pool (6 laps), 11 mile bike ride and 3 mile run! Woo-hoo!

Cathy, I am so proud of you for doing all you're doing. You're a wonderful Mom, so keep up the good work. As lousy as it is! I LOVE her toenails painted! SO cute! And I can see your shoes in the picture and they are so cute!

hello family! Things have been SO busy lately!! The holidays are over and it's the start of a new year so it's back to work...and work i have been doing! It's been really non-stop at the office getting ready for a boat load of things but I wouldn't have it any other way since it makes the day go by faster. I wake up, drop the kids off at their locations, come back to the house, do dishes and one load of laundry and pick up, log on, work, lunch, move on laundry, get pj's and clothes for next day ready, vacuum, take out trash, other misc items, run to the store if i need something, log back on, work, go get kids, feed kids, bathe kids, read books to kids, usually feed Jackson again, puzzle/cartoon time, bedtime. That's my life in a nutshell. Actually, this is me in a nutshell..."Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell!" j/k All this busy stuff in my life and I still have time for jokes...and painting my wiggly baby's toe nails. I cleaned them up with a Q-tip and they look so cute. having a girl is very different, but it's still so fun! Next week, we're going to get facials and perms. not really, but maybe one day minus the perm of course.

Other than the day to day routine, which is nice to have, me and Joe had a child support mediation meeting at the Office of the Attorney Generals. Talk about a nightmare. After 5 hours of negotiation (or fighting...whatever), we had papers written up that made him pay $350 A MONTH until they are 18. That's a steal for three kids. We started signing, and I noticed a clause that said I have to remain in Denton County, or a County touching it. $350 a month doesn't buy the rights to tell me where to live as far as I'm concerend. He wouldn't change it, I wouldn't sign with that so the mediator snatched the papers away and is sending us to court. The next day he realized what a dumb move that was and called her back to make an appointment to sign, but it was too late. The papers have been sent and we'll be in court hopefully by the end of January. Good news is that I'll probably get more than $350 a month, bad news is I'll probably still never see it.

Anyhoo, my spirits are high (mainly because I just don't have time to wallow and it's not worth it) and I'm just really excited about moving in to the next phase in my life with my adorable kids. They've handled things well, although little Joe gets confused from time to time but when I try to explain it he usually wanders off talking about fruit snacks of the next episode of Spiderman. he's been much more go with the flow since he started school.

Things are good, we miss and love you all!!

Poor Tierney

Tierney had a little tummyache yesterday, so we had to num things up. The YouTube video is here.

**Warning: Tierney's Dad is a little embarassed being so totally and obviously besotted with his little girl. This video is so sweet, the diabetics in the crowd should shoot up with extra insulin before viewing. Likewise, if you are allergic to cheese, appropriate precautions should be taken.**

Oak Hill Farm - I

Only Mom & Dad have had a chance to visit us on the farm, so I thought I'd post some pics from around the property.

We live in a small cottage that was built around 1900 on the family farm of President James Monroe. Oak Hill Farm is about 1500-acres, and is centered around a main home and gardens that were designed by Thomas Jefferson. This is also where President Monroe drated the Monroe Doctrine.

We have full access to the property and have been able to get out and take some nice walks. We have a little stream that runs near our house, nice big trees in the yard that are perfect for hanging a hammock, and fields nearby with horses and cattle. Most of the "farm" is leased to a local cattle company called Virginia Beef, so they either graze cattle, grow crops for cow food, or plant grass that they maintain and sell to local landscapers. - Paul, Nicole & Tierney

Winter is here

I know Virginia winters can't compare to the brutal cold of a good Utah freeze, but it's still dang cold. This pic is a view from the end of the driveway...you can't see the ice in the trees very well, but it was sure a pretty sight.

Having temperatures this low sure makes me miss central heating. I'm going to have to take some time today to chop some wood as it's supposed to get down into single digits tonight and tomorrow. We try to stay warm with the wood stove and space heaters that are scattered throughout the house.

So...what's up with the rest of you? Haven't seen any activity on the blog for a while! - Paul, Nicole & Tierney

Tierney's Birthday

Today was Tierney's 6-month birthday. Apparently, to celebrate she let loose a monstrous fart in Relief Society, which she thought was hilarious. There's no doubt she's a Jackson.

Things on the East Coast are going well. We're trying to get back into our routine after two weeks off during the holidays. We just stayed at home mostly, although we spent New Year's Eve at a hotel. The power went out at the farm, so there was no heat except for the wood stove and no running water (no electricity for the well pump).

Our next adventure is Baltimore for Valentine's Day. We're going up for a Star Trek convention (http://www.farpointcon.com/). Nicole says if we're going to go, we have to go in costume. Not sure what she and I are going to dress up as, but I'm going to make Tierney a sleep-sack type outfit out of shaggy fur material so she can go as a tribble. Someone suggested we should go as Klingons, but I immediately pointed out that in TOS ("the original series") it was a key plot point in the episode "The Trouble With Tribbles" (episode 14, 1967) that tribbles HATE Klingons. That hatred was what allowed Kirk to discover the secret Klingon spy on Deep Space Station K-7 and the conspiracy to poison a vital shipment of the grain quadrotriticale destined for Sherman's Planet.

There was a hush in the room as I was again reminded that I am, indeed, a total geek.

BAD neighbors!

Jackson family,
I have come to the best people I know for suggestions on how to get an evil revenge on our neighbors. They're horrible, nasty people that everyone wants gone. And I will put myself at the top of the list. You all are some of the most creative evil geniuses I know, and I have come for help. I have a few ideas such as, getting stuff called liquid a$$ and spraying it on their lawn, putting them on every mailing list in the world, and putting their house up for sale for them on a local classified. While these are all good ideas, I know you guys have better ones. Please help!

I look forward to your evil responses.

A Black Tinkerbell? By Sarah

So, tonight I was at the gas station and I had such an embarrasing experience! I was at the register and there was a display of pez dispensers and they were black tinkberbells! Have you ever seen black tinkerbells? So, I commented on it. I said, "Wow, are these black tinkerbells? I've never seen a black tinkerbell." And the man was like, "Um...yeah. Or maybe they're just black fairies." I'm like, "Yeah, that's true." And I looked over and the other worker was black! There's like 10 black people in the whole state, and one of them happen to be working at the ONE place I comment on a black friggin' fairy! So, then I had to be like, "Oh, yeah...they made that fairy movie, huh? So maybe it's not tinkerbell!" Then, I pulled my foot out of my a** and ran like hell out of the gas station. Ugh. Leave it to me.....

Is there a Doctor in the house?

well, Jackson never gets sick...until recently. He's had RSV and his first real ear infection for a few days now but he is finally feeling better. RSV can be fatal for little babies so it's been a bit stressful. This pic shows how my weekend was...Juliana was gassy and her allergies had her all stuffy so she didn't feel well and Jackson's fever was so high he barely wore clothes. Which, he prefers. This pic also shows how I need to get my eyebrows waxed...and maybe get a tan...and color the gray out of my pre-30 year old hair.
Jackson is finally feeling better, he even called Grandma at 2am (three times) to tell her. He moved into his big boy bed and has discovered he can escape and do whatever he wants. About three times a night I hear his little feet just running around looking for stuff to break. So far, in the past two nights, he prank called Grandma several times at 2am, got himself a snack an hour later, took a nap in my bed, played with his robots at 3am the next night, rode his scooter in the kitchen at 4am and dabbled with the toilet water about 5am this morning. Child proof door knobs my a$$.
Thanks for setting up the family blog Ha-ha!

Our Family Blog!

I don't know if you all read it heehee, but in Bubba's Christmas letter he mentioned doing a family blog. I thought it was a great idea, so I did it without even talking to anyone! So, here's the deal. You log in to the blog with our family email which is ######## and our password is #####. (this was on here but because of privacy issues mentioned by Dad, it's now on your email....) I know...real creative.... I was going to do *****************, but I thought that was kind of long... Anyways, all you have to do is log in, create a post, and do it to it! Just when you're done writing your post, please list your name, since all it will show is "posted by Jackson family." So, there you go! I hope everyone uses this and likes it! Thanks for the idea Bubba! - Sarah
